Welcome to Montclair
Montclair, California, is a small blissful city in San Bernardino's southwest region. It features a diverse and young community with various possibilities. Montclair is the region's premier shopping destination and has new neighborhoods emerging yearly. The locals boast about its proximity to Orange County, Los Angeles, and the Inland Empire.
Montclair has an interesting history behind its current success. In 1897, the township of Marquette was founded in what is now modern-day Montclair. Land developer Emil Firth purchased many acres of land and subdivided the area. Firth eventually constructed reservoirs for irrigation and cultivated the land to grow citrus trees. Montclair remained primarily dedicated to citrus production until after World War II when many houses were built and the population increased.
